While genetic testing isn't a definitive DM diagnosis,
it can help to know if your pup carries the gene(s).
For example:
If your results come back "Clear" or "Carrier"
then the symptoms you are seeing are likely
repairable (not DM) and need further insight
as to what could be causing them.

Where to order the DNA test kit?
While it may cost a few more dollars thru one source or another,
It is important to
request that the results be recorded into the
database with the OFA
*** There are many other important tests that should be done prior to breeding as well (none less important) - our main focus is DM because this is the preventable disease that we have experienced first hand....
***If you are considering breeding your pup, please be sure to have a discussion with your veterinarian about ALL the health testing that should be performed first!
