While genetic testing isn't a definitive DM diagnosis, 

it can help to know if your pup carries the gene(s). 

For example:

If your results come back "Clear" or "Carrier" 

then the symptoms you are seeing are likely

repairable (not DM) and need further insight 

as to what could be causing them.

It is important to 

request that the results be recorded into the 

database with the OFA 

*** There are many other important tests that should be done prior to breeding as well (none less important) - our main focus is DM because this is the preventable disease that we have experienced first hand....
